Road bridge San Niclà, GR
The first large-scale not covered road bridge made out of timber. Built in 1993, with a total carriageway length of almost 45 m and an arch span of approx. 39m. The arch beam’s variable cross-section possesses a height up to 1.65 m and a width of 1.0 m. Probably the first ever recorded implementation of the GSA technology, as a high performance development of glued steel rods.
