Housing complex in Milano:
four 9-storey apartment buildings
Four buildings solely made out of timber - stairwell walls and elevator shaft as well in timber construction. Ceilings and walls made out of CLT create a spatial supporting structure consisting of thin membranes and slabs. One of Europe’s largest and most modern timber construction buildings with approx. 10’000 m2 usable space and 124 living units. The timber construction consists of 6000 m3 cross-laminated timber and just took 6 months to erect.
